Snazz up your Zoom!
Did you know you can now upload a video to your Zoom waiting room?
Recording a welcome message could be a really nice touch for everyone waiting to join the call. It suggests you’re going to use the technology at your disposal to create an engaging session for your participants, so they join with a receptive mindset.
It also allows you to:
β Set your expectations for the session, e.g., mics off unless speaking and cameras on
β Rundown the agenda and cover any housekeeping points
β Point out any functionality or apps you may be using
β Let them know who to communicate with in the event of a problem (your co-host, for example)
It’s really easy to do:
ππ» Go to settings
ππ» Waiting room options
ππ» Customise
ππ» Upload video
Caveats
β Ensure you’re on the latest version of Zoom - 5.7.3 or later
β MP4, MOV or M4V formats
β Up to 30MB
If you don’t feel comfortable recording a video, you can, of course, upload your logo or text.
